100 songs that made my decade awesome: 2000

Flashback. 2000. Equally Y2K and music meant nothing to me. Fast-forward. 2002. The only concerts that I had been to were Britney Spears for my 13th birthday and John Mayer for my Sweet 16th. Jump. 2004. Ah, college. There’s a radio station on campus? Awesome. And so my fascination for counterculture began. I knew I was in love when a WUSO dj played Geggy Tah’s “Whoever You Are,” circa 1996.

And so, in the spirit of what an amazing decade it was to fall in love with music, I will be recalling 100 songs that made this decade awesome for me.
