It’s not often we feature artists from Oslo, Norway on The Wounded Jukebox. And I’m fairly certain that we’ve never featured an all-female Norwegian quintet. But Norma Sass has something special with their debut LP Hunting For Treasures, which was released Jan. 24 on Tuba Records/Cosmos Music Norway.
Keys, guitars and chimes light up the wonderful harmonies that these five talented women put together on Hunting For Treasures, and there’s some good pop drumming as well. Thea Glenton Raknes has a wonderful voice that’s never overpowering but always present and accounted for. And thankfully, there is a fair share of harmonizing background vocals here.
“Robbery” is the first single off the record, which is full of solid hooks and very polished production. But there’s still something very genuine and endearing about the sounds this fivesome produce.
Holy crap this video is adorable. Check it out!
