Elbow: “Neat Little Rows”

Elbow’s The Seldom Seen Kid was a stirring and beautiful record. That energy was captured best on standout track “One Day Like This”, which remains one of those songs that I am powerless against. To this day, when it comes on the radio or I cue it up for old times’ sake, I can’t help but sing along at the top of my lungs.

It’s been nearly three years since that album, which was the band’s fourth, and we haven’t heard much from Elbow in some time. So imagine my excitement when I learned their new single, “Neat Little Rows” would grace the world with its presence on Feb. 28, and that the British quintet’s new album Build a Rocket Boys! will be out March 7. The band still has a gift for constructing lush soundscapes but never missing the wonderful small touches. Give “Neat Little Rows” a listen, along with “Lippy Kids”, and watch videos for both below.
