It’s songs like “Can’t You Tell” that make me appreciate the fact my current apartment has a balcony suitable for putting my feet up and relaxing. Because this song is perfect for kicking back with a frosty beverage in hand, eyes closed and free of cares. It comes from San Franciscan Sub Pop signee Vetiver, from its forthcoming album The Errant Charm, out June 13.
Its groovy keyboard, pulsing beat and geetar strumming — done up with the appropriate amount of distortion and reverb — make me want to chill out while “Can’t You Tell” tickles my ear drums like ocean waves lapping at the shore. This song will undoubtedly be on my Summer Balcony Mix. And yes, I have a Summer Balcony Mix. Stay tuned.
