The four lads from California ambitiously known as The Wind finish out their 23 track double album debut with a song that successfully brings all my Beach Boy and Grizzly Bear synaptic connections into a neat bundle. “Monsters” is a beautiful and haunting ballad about the worst life has to offer, and just when it’s too late, you realize that boys of The Wind are monsters as well; albeit seductively lyrical in kind and temperament. If this song was flowing from it, I would happily lay down and rest in the cave they inhabit. It would be a fine soundtrack to a willing end.
