Clap Your Hands Say Yeah: “Maniac” / “Same Mistake”

clap_your_hands_say_yeah-773443 What is going on in the world?  With death and financial ruin everywhere you look, a new song from Clap Your Hands Say Yeah entitled “Maniac” is far too topical be coincidence.  And on top of all of this, I can almost understand what Alec Ounsworth is saying, which is too deep in the crazy bin to be anything less than amazing.  Ounsworth’s time going solo seems to have some him a bunch-o-good; picking up an almost audible quality in his reedy fibers.  “Maniac” is the second single from CYHSY’s Hysterical, out September 12th.  In it, we see incredible Pop quality progress; with Caribbean rhythms, bright sideways chimes and flapping bass.  It’s just right for the state of affairs we humans find ourselves in these maniacal days.

You can download “Maniac” for free (except for an email address) here.

The first single was “Same Mistake”, a track that leaves self-consciousness to the far flung reaches, and spouts love and feelings everywhere it can.
