St. Rupertsberg: “In Albania”

Eight lovely women in eight lovely dresses make what kind of music? You guessed it! Lovely! Wellington, New Zealand’s own St. Rupertsberg popped into our inbox with their fun, frolicking big band choral pop. These ladies piece together a wonderful variety of instruments to make a sound that could fit superbly on a charming indie film soundtrack. Perhaps during the main character’s cross-country train ride.

There’s horns, there’s keyboards. There’s a flute, there’s drums. There’s pretty voices, and magic. All kinds of magic. The two songs we’re offering for streaming here are from the talented octet’s EP Seasonal Glimpse, which was just unleashed on the world on September 1. When these women harmonize, it is truly something special. For two superb examples of it, listen below!
