Blondfire: “Where The Kids Are”

Brother-sister duo Bruce and Erica Driscoll are going places. The pair self-produced their forthcoming LP Win The Game, and judging by the synth-and-guitar magic that is first single “Where The Kids Are,” the record will be one to look out for. This song is strikingly reminiscent of another excellent female-fronted band, Metric, mostly for Erica’s hushed and haunting vocals. Blondfire utilize some of the same musical elements we’ve all come to know and love from bands like MGMT.

And then there’s the excellent video the pair concocted for this song. The panda bear, arguably the cutest kind of bear, is the sinister figure in this tale. A young hunter seeks revenge for the panda’s evil past transgressions. Does the hunter get his vengeance? You should watch the video, which also features some killer facepaint on both brother and sister Driscoll.

“Where The Kids Are” will be available November 1. Check it and the video out below.
