Lady Lamb The Beekeeper: “All I Really Want To Do”

Aly Spaltro, aka Lady Lamb The Beekeeper, showed both her rough and raw side as well as her melodic one on last year’s Mammoth Swoon, which should’ve gotten her a lot more acclaim. But after that album emerged, Spaltro kind of went AWOL. She performed a few dates with Sharon Van Etten and Beirut recently, but hopefully this newly minted cover of Bob Dylan’s “All I Really Want To Do” is a sign that an album’s worth of new material might be on the horizon. Apparently she’s in New York City working on just such a record.

For now, check out this 60’s-sounding (appropriate, since the original was on Dylan’s 1964 record Another Side of Bob Dylan) cover that embraces the twang and utilizes Spaltro’s lower register with enjoyable results. Download the cover below!
